God of life,
there are days when the load is too heavy for our shoulders, and we feel tired;
in which the road seems monotonous and infinite,
and the sky is gray and menacing;
in which our life is without music,
our heart is alone and our soul has lost its courage.
Fill the way with your light, we pray you;
direct our gaze where the sky is full of promises.
Di Sant’Agostino, from the book The Oneworld Book of Prayer by Juliet Mabey
